7 gallon pot, 3' height - Jatropha hastata 'compacta'
Jatropha or Peregrina displays spectacular blooms of red flowers nearly all year. The flowers are great attractors of butterflies. Its use ranges from a loose screen to specimen single trunked small trees or multitrunked large shrubs.
Its range is limited to zones 10 and 11 in Florida. It adapts well to highly maintained irrigated landscapes, but does well in non-irrigated low maintenance landscapes as well.
Do not grow this plant near the ocean, however, because it is not salt tolerant.
Delivery is free within Broward, Miami-Dade, and southern Palm Beach County.
