Chinese fan Palms are often used as houseplants throughout the United States, but may be used in the landscape nearly anywhere south of Orlando. As shown in the photograph Chinese Fan Palms make excellent specimen groupings when planted at varying heights. Large heads of glossy green fronds that have a delicate feminine appearance crown the straight robust trunks. They grow to a maximum height of about 50 feet, but are quite slow growing. Hence, they are often seen in the landscape as an accent shrub or even a massed groundcover in large scale plantings. So many have been grown that large numbers of large specimens are available at relatively reasonable prices. Expect to see large specimens planted more often.
Grow them in any reasonably fertile, irrigated landscape for best growth. Make sure that they receive palm fertilizer a few times per year.
Delivery is included in Broward, Miami-Dade, and southern Palm Beach Counties.
