10" Pot, Full - Tripsacum dactyloides
Our native Fakahatchee Grass is a wonderfully versatile coarse grass that may reach a height of 5'. Its form resembles a very large clump of Liriope and it may be used as a large-scale groundcover or as a mid level plant.
Fakahatchee Grass grows in full sun or partial shade in a wide range of soils throughout Florida. It is one of the few plants that can be used in wetland plantings and in unirrigated landscapes. We have planted it on the embankments of interstate highways without irrigation where the plant survives despite receiving only 50% of Florida's rainfall.
Delivery is free within Broward, Miami-Dade, and southern Palm Beach County.
