The Royal Poinciana is a a flat topped or dome shaped tree. The width of the tree's canopy is often as great or greater than its height which may reach 40' or more.
Royal Poinciana flowers best in full sun and and can be grown in a wide variety of soil conditions from well drained to wet soils. Be careful to plant them where the large surface roots which often develop will not cause problems. Royal Poinciana can be grown south of Palm Beach County and close to the coast further north.
