Blue Agaves are an excellent accent in designs with a southwestern theme, but may also be used with Florida natives where a dry look is desired. In Florida they need little or no care and thrive in well-drained soil on rainfall alone.
Agaves grow best in full sun but can adapt to some shade. Plant it as specimen. It will attain a spread of 6' or more.
