8' - 10' height, 25 gallon pot - Archontophoenix alexandrae
King Alexander Palm is also known as Alexandra Palm and is sometimes confused with Alexander Palm, which is a different species to which it is superior in size and form.
The best feature of this palm are the strikingly beautiful fronds or leaves, which arch gracefully apparently in a single plane. The graceful fronds are complimented by the self cleaning green crownshaft and ringed trunk. The pink to red fruit provide an additional accent.
The mature height of this palm varies from about 25' to 50' and its spread is between 10' and 15'. It has the appearance of a medium sized palm.
Grow them south of Palm Beach County and further north along the coast, but not near the ocean. King Alexander Palms do best in fertile irrigated landscapes and do not tolerate highly alkaline soils.
Delivery is free in Broward, Dade, and southern Palm Beach counties.
