8' - 10' height, 25 gallon pot - Cordia sebestena
Our native Orange Geiger Tree makes a lovely small flowering tree. The large orange to scarlet flowers are borne throughout the year, but most heavily in summer. The flowers are set within an evergreen canopy of large leafed foliage.
Orange Geiger Tree grows in full sun to partial shade south of Palm Beach County and further north along the coast. Its high salt and drought tolerance make it an excellent flowering tree for seaside planting. Geiger tree grows in a wide range of soils in irrigated landscapes. Once established it requires no supplemental irrigation. Geiger Trees are occasionally attacked by native pests such as geiger beetles, mites, scales, and caterpillars. However, like many other native plants, they survive these attacks.
Delivery is included in Broward and Miami-Dade Counties.
