In full bloom a grouping or stand of Tibouchina is a glorious sight. It's commonly seen as a small tree or standard and used as an upper level accent. Its small size is just right for small spaces at entries or in narrow yards.
Tibouchina does best in full sun in irrigated and well-drained landscapes. It must be pruned when young, so it's best to select specimens that have already been shaped into tree form.
