Weight: 10.0 lbs
This plant is the finest native hedge plant in Florida. It grows on a wide range of soils; can be found in the deep shade of native forests or in the full sun of new commercial landscape projects; and can be planted without irrigation in dry locations or planted in wetland areas. Cocoplum can be clipped to maintain it as a formal hedge or allowed to grow to 15' for a natural screen. It's salt tolerant for planting near the ocean. With all of these virtues it should be used for other uses besides hedges.
Used as a multitrunk small tree it could be a useful substitute for Wax Myrtle or Ligustrum.
Delivery is free within Broward, Miami-Dade, and southern Palm Beach County.
