Philodendron selloum's large lobed leaves lend a tropical look to any landscape when massed. The plant develops trunks as it matures to a maximum height of about 12'. Mature specimens have a palm like look. However, height can be controlled and the plant is usually used as a mid level shrub in massed groupings.
Philodendron selloum grows fast on a wide range of well-drained soils in irrigated landscapes. It may be grown in full sun or shade in nearly all areas of Florida.
