Yellow Elder provides splashes of brilliant yellow flowers nearly all year round. Its form needs to be controlled, but it's increasingly available in forms ranging from single trunked small trees to multitrunked specimens.
Yellow Elder should be grown in full sun for best flowering. It is highly drought tolerant and may be planted without irrigation in well-drained soils. This small tree with spectacular splashes of flowers should be planted more.
