Crown of Thorns or Christ-Thorn is grown for its rich red flowers set within thorny woody stems. Hence the name. Crown of Thorns bloom throughout the year and they make a good potted plant for sunny locations.
Crown of Thorns is drought tolerant and salt tolerant. They make an excellent groundcover or even a hedge for hot dry locations and near the seaside.
