Artilley Plant or Artillery Fern is a short lived perennial that makes a fine detail planting around rock or masonry never growing larger than 12" to 24". Although it is short lived, if planted in a regularly irrigated landscaped expect to see many adventitious plants spring up to replace the old. The beautiful fern-like foliage softens rock and masonry with its fine texture and feminine appearance.

Grow Artillery Plant south of Palm Beach County and further north along the coast, but be aware that it does not tolerate salt. Regular irrigation, fertile soil and full to partial shade is necessary for growth.
